Dr. B. Narasinga Rao Vice President, Technology

Dr. B. Narasinga Rao, with over twenty-one years of experience in IT and related areas, provides technical direction to Component Insights. He has overall responsibility for the architecture and evolution of the ProteOSS platform and directs the R&D efforts of the company. Prior to joining Component Insights, he held positions at IBM Global Services, AT&T Bell Laboratories, The Indian Institute of Management, and California State University. Dr. Rao was most recently with IBM Global Services where he worked extensively in the areas of object technology and architecting e-business solutions. Earlier, he held faculty positions at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and the California State University at Fresno. His duties at these reputed institutions included research, curriculum design, consulting, teaching, and conducting executive programs. He also worked at the AT&T Bell Laboratories at Holmdel, New Jersey, where his activities included designing integrated voice and data telecommunications networks.

Dr. Rao has a bachelor's degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, India, a master's degree in engineering from NITIE, Bombay, and a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Iowa, U.S.A.
