After counselling thousands of students over the last 15 years in the area of aptitude training and critical thinking, K Venkataraman, popularly known as Venkat, has evolved the concept of “Think Without Ink” (TWI).

TWI is a concept of solving problems in the smartest way. In today’s resource-crunched times, every individual has to become an efficient problem solver. All of us need to deal with real life problems without losing our cool. TWI helps one to develop a mindset that relishes the mental exercises associated with problem solving. Explains Venkat, “TWI is achieved thr-ough regular practice, and can be adopted by any person. It calls for a sense of optimism that all challenges can be overcome using our mind.”

Venkat has now put this concept in the form of a book called, “Think Without Ink - an adventure with quantitative problems.” The book espouses common sense and simplicity in the way we respond to new challenges. It urges readers to constantly innovate and hone their critical thinking ability. Venkat has a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Bangalore University and a PG dip-loma in Industrial Engineering from NITIE, Mumbai. He has worked in various techno-managerial capacities in Bha-rat Electronics, Ceat Tyres, Mico, Godrej, etc.

He has been associated with Career Plan, a Bangalore-based education and training firm, as a director since 1991. He has introduced several new techniques and concepts in aptitude training and critical thinking through continuous research of the testing methodologies especially those used by IIMs and other top B-Schools.
